Learn More about Mine Subsidence

In case you missed it, two gentlemen from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection presented at the last community meeting. They provided some amazing information about the history of mining in our neighborhood, and shared stories of homes that have been damaged or destroyed by old mines.

Take a look at their presentation to learn more for yourself! At the end of the slideshow you will find a map of locations where mines are known to have existed in Stanton Heights. If you are in or near those areas – it is highly recommended that you purchase mine subsidence insurance! For only $67 per year, you can be insured for $100,000 in damages.
