Stanton Heights Redd Up Cleanup scheduled for Saturday, April 25th

The Stanton Heights Neighborhood Association is hosting a litter cleanup and beautification project in Stanton Heights for the Spring Redd Up. There is a job for everyone! Join us at 8 am for registration, coffee and snacks. The clean up starts promptly at 9 am.

We will be meeting for the cleanup at corner of the intersection of Stanton Ave. and Woodbine St.—the site of the proposed community park.  The cleanup will focus mostly along Stanton Ave. and side streets along both sides of Stanton Ave.  A smaller group will focus on cleaning litter at the community park site, removing invasive plants and vines, planting in the bed on the site.  There will be jobs for all ability levels.  Participants are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes, long pants and long sleeves.   Volunteers under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult supervisor during the cleanup and must have a consent form signed by a parent or guardian.  Gloves and bags will be provided but items like loppers, bow saws and wheelbarrows would be helpful for the removal of invasive plants.
Volunteers are welcome to stay for pizza after the cleanup to celebrate a job well done. Please join us, and share this invitation with your neighbors!
