The cleanup will begin on the corner of the intersection of Stanton Ave. and Woodbine St.—the site of the proposed community park. The cleanup, will address litter and larger illegally dumped items at the community park site, removal of invasive plants and vines, planting in the bed on the site as well as a litter pick up on the the streets near the site. There will be jobs for all ability levels. Participants are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes, long pants and long sleeves. Volunteers under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult supervisor during the cleanup and must have a consent form signed by a parent or guardian. Gloves and bags will be provided but items like loppers, bow saws and wheelbarrows would be helpful for the removal of invasive plants.
